Educating your sons and daughters
In Catalonia, school is compulsory for everyone who lives here and is aged between 6 and 16 years old, but it is very important that children go to school from the age of 3 years old onwards to acquire social and educational habits. Children aged from 0 to 3 years old should also go to nursery schools.
To send your children to school, in the ordinary period you must pre-register them, and then enrol them directly in the school you have selected as your first choice.
For students who arrive during the school year, you need to contact the OME - Municipal Schools Office, where they will be attended to and referred as necessary.
Children under 3 years old can be taken to a nursery school (Vic Municipal Nursery Schools) or to the "El Remei" Vic municipal family area.
